Every Life Counts

They promised Tracy a job if he just came to Tampa. He used all the money that he had to purchase a train ticket and left his fathers house. Tracy's childhood had been filled with abuse, neglect, and intolerance. He arrived in Tampa, running quickly to a pay phone only to find that the gentleman that promised him the job had changed his mind.

Three days later, Tracy lay shaking in an alley in Downtown Tampa. A combination of diabetes, the cold December weather, and the recent rains had begun to take a toll on his body. It seemed hopeless.

Later that day, a church would find him, lead him to Christ, feed him, and give him the hope that he so desperately needed. It was through the food and networking resources that Somebody Cares Tampa Bay had provided them with that they were able to help Tracy get back on his feet and on to a new life.

Somebody cared enough to make a difference in one life.
