After Hurricane Charlie hit Wauchula in Hardee County in 2004, Daniel Bernard with Somebody Cares Tampa Bay showed up representing Operation Blessing International. He handed me a $2000 check to buy food. At the time we were feeding 2000 people a week, out of Faith Temple Church of God. From that day forward we partnered with Somebody Cares Tampa Bay. Several grants were written for us to continue doing disaster relief in central Florida. SCTB has partnered us with the OBI Hunger Task Trucks. We now receive a dedicated Semi load of products into Hardee County from OBI Hunger Task Force, all with the help of Daniel Bernard and Somebody Cares Tampa Bay. Here at Cutting Edge Ministries Food Bank we have served in disasters from Florida to Mississippi since 2004. Our Food Bank feeds close to 400 weekly and continues to lead several disaster relief distributions here in Hardee County. We receive approximately 1.5 million in donations a year TO HELP FEED THE HUNGRY. Due to our ongoing relationship, we now partner with Operation Blessing International, Feed the Children, Convoy of Hope, Feeding America and many others. ‍We would not be where we are today without SOMEBODY CARES TAMPA BAY and Daniel Bernard. ‍
